Charity seeking helpers

-

AGE UK has announced its shop in Charles Street, Leicester, will be among those reopening on April 12 and is looking for volunteers to help inside.

The charity is inviting people back to the shop to pick up a bargain from one of the many items available, including clothing, accessories, books, toys and homeware - and help it raise vital funds. Safety measures will once again be in place to protect customers, volunteers and staff.

Age UK work and services supports older people, and have been a lifeline for some during lockdown and throughout the coronavirus crisis.

Jenna Mowbray, manager at the city centre shop, said: “We’re also appealing to anyone who may be able to give up some time to help out by volunteering at the shop. We depend on volunteers, so if you have found yourself with more free time and think you can help us, please give the shop a call on 0116 262 1220. Even small amounts of time can make a huge difference.”
