Cheesed off about the difference in prices

-

I PURCHASED a breakfast from McDonald’s in Abbey Lane and was shocked to find that I had been charged 75p for an extra slice of cheese.

My reaction was I had previously purchased one from the branch at Thurmaston shopping centre and the cost was an extra 20p.

When I queried the excessive charge difference, I was rudely told it was because they are different franchises.

Not happy with this explanation, I messaged McDonald’s and have been informed that franchises can charge any amount they like and do not have to adhere to the price list.

I find this very disturbing and feel that people should know so that they can choose the branch they wish to buy from with full knowledge.

These hidden charges should not exist. There is less than three miles difference between these two sites. The service is friendlier and quicker at Thurmaston.

Pay your money wisely.
