THE BRIT AWARDS 2021 THE MONEY MAKER
ITV, 8pm Channel 4, 9pm
Celebrating a return to live music, this year’s Brits will be the first major indoor music event with a live audience.
Jack Whitehall hosts the ceremony, broadcasting from London’s O2 arena, which will have a speciallyinvited audience of key workers.
Some of the biggest names in the music industry are scheduled to perform, with Coldplay opening the show and other acts including Griff, Arlo Parks, Olivia Rodrigo and Headie One, while Rag’n’Bone Man and P!nk will perform their new duet along with the Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust Choir.
And for backstage gossip, Clara Amfo and Maya Jama host The Brit Awards 2021: Backstage from 7pm on ITV2.
American entrepreneur Eric Collins meets Alex Jacobs, below, CEO of The Sussex Kitchen, which makes bread and pastries, but lost around 90% of clients in lockdown as they mostly sell to the hospitality industry. They survived thanks to a tiny home delivery customer-base.
“I’m not sure I am a businessman,” says Alex, a former five-star London hotel chef. “I’m a food critic, mad scientist cook! I thought I could just make nice things and the rest would just happen, I was very, very wrong.”
With the bakery on the brink of bankruptcy, Eric gets the guided tour, and is wowed by a loaf fresh out of the oven. He wants a piece of the pie, but will he hand over his dough?
