VUE has announced its cinema at Meridian Leisure Park, Leicester, will reopen on Monday – and tickets are now available to pre-book.

Film fans can look forward to enjoying a couple of hours of uninterrupted entertainment in what Vue describes as “the ultimate seat, screen and sound experience”.

New films on show include Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway, featuring the vocal talents of James Corden as the lovable title character, and occult chiller the Unholy.

In June, Anthony Hopkins’ Oscarwinning performance in The Father will be shown on the big screen.

Other big films on the way in the next 18 months include James Bond outing No Time to Die, Top Gun: Maverick, Minions: The Rise of Gru and Fast and Furious 9.

Dominic Dosanjh, general manager of Vue Leicester, said: “In a year marked by restrictions on our daily lives, the importance of escapism has never been

stronger. After the best part of a year at home, we know that families in Leicester and entertainment fans are craving safe out-of-home experiences like never before – cinema provides that unique experience of being able to truly immerse yourself in a great story.”
