From a woman who makes her own sanitary products and nappies, to a pensioner who has collected rainwater for years, slashing his water bills, some of the extreme saving methods in this series might not sound that appealing.

In this show, financial guru Martin Lewis, above, introduces people who take saving that step further – making it their life’s mission to hold on to as much dosh as they can.

Among others, we hear from Lee, who was so fed up with paying extra charges for luggage on flights that he had a special coat made. Now he travels with all he needs in his coat of many pockets. Meanwhile, dedicated ‘comper’ Katrina has claimed thousands of pounds worth of prizes by entering competitions.
