Khun Vichai’s team has made us glorious again

WE are in dreamland. Before I say anything more I want to thank one man.

Khun Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, he trusted Leicester people, he invested in Leicester, he has made Leicester glorious again.

His values were deep and true – something we can all sign up to. I can’t think of greater achievements than winning the Premier League and now winning the FA Cup for the first time.

Posterity comes to mind. Some people just believe. Let’s sing from the treetops (Covid safe!). Now with the SDSA, AimStrongSport and Sported, we intend taking these values into all schools in Leicester and, of course, wider.

We will be launching the Values in Football Booklet just before the Euros at Ellesmere College, which is already trying it out with the students. This all generously funded by The Khun Vichai Foundation. We just hope Top and Susan Whelan can make the celebration.

As a long-standing supporter of the Foxes (65 years-plus), living within eyeshot of the King Power Stadium, my joy is complete. We are the greatest community FC in the world by far. Thanks, Khun Vichai, we love you.
