Part of road to close

PART of a road on a Leicester industrial estate is to be shut for five days for roadworks next week.

Meridian East will shut between the McDonald’s restaurant near Fosse Park and the junction with Meridian South, beginning on Monday.

The county council has agreed to the closure to allow the excavation and construction of a manhole. The diversion will follow a short route around the industrial estate, adding up to three-quarters of a mile to journeys to the restaurant.
