Footballer arrested

A TOP Premier League footballer has been arrested on suspicion of child sex offences.

The 31-year-old player cannot be named for legal reasons. The millionaire ace, who also plays regularly for his country, had his home raided by police and was arrested on Friday.

Greater Manchester Police confirmed they arrested him on Friday.

He has since been released on bail as investigations continue.
