Sport has been the saviour of the summer so far, with the England squad’s brilliant performance and the thrills served up at Wimbledon.

Now it’s time to be bowled over by this new month-long cricket tournament. It’s a fast-paced affair, with each game lasting less than three hours. Whichever team scores the most runs is the winner.

The action begins with a women’s clash between the Invincibles and the Originals before the corresponding men’s sides face off tomorrow night.
