Job centre proposal submitted
A JOB centre could replace an empty restaurant in the city centre.
Plans for the change of use at the building in Halford Street have been submitted to Leicester City Council.
Agents said the Department for Housing, Communities and Local Government and Instant Managed Offices Ltd propose to change the ground-floor property, which is part of The Rutland Centre, into a job centre.
It would replace Gale 19 Bar and Restaurant. The 1,395 square foot space sits on the corner of Halford Street and Yeoman Street.
The Rutland Centre also houses an NCP car park.
If the application, currently in consultation is approved, it would be the fourth job centre in Leicester.
APPLICATION: The job centre would be on the site formerly occupied by Gale 19 restaurant
