Skydivers die in plane crash

A PLANE carrying skydivers crashed shortly after take-off in central Russia on Sunday, killing 15 of the 22 people on board.

The L-410 twin-engine turboprop, crashed near the town of Menzelinsk, about 600 miles (960km) east of Moscow.

The Emergencies Ministry said seven people were pulled out of the wreckage alive, at least one of them with severe injuries.
