Pub is set to pop up for festival, but just for day

-

A PUB is opening in Leicester – but customers will have to be quick if they want to get a pint in.

Western Park Beer Festival will be hosting a Pop Up Pub for one day only on Saturday, November 13.

The event will boast 16 keg and cask beers, plus ciders, wine, soft drinks and snacks and will be held over two threehour sessions at St Anne’s Church Hall, in Letchworth Road.

The beer festival has raised £42,500 for good causes since 2015.

For the first time this year, the event will be cashless and see a maximum of 150 people each session, with tickets available from Eventbrite.

Selina Conroy, festival chairman, said: “Due to Covid, this will be a scaleddown Pop Up Pub for adults only, but we’re looking forward to seeing friends and neighbours we’ve not seen since September 2019’s festival.

“We’re hoping it won’t be too long before we can put on a larger, familyfriendly event, but until then, the Pop Up Pub will go some way in bridging that gap.”
