Leicester Mercury

Will it be a Valentine’s Day date?

- By STAFF REPORTER comedy-festival.co.uk/event

VALENTINE’S Day was hardly going to go unmarked at Leicester Comedy Festival.

Romance, or lack of it, features in three of the shows on today, so whether you are single, coupled up or sick of the whole thing, there is something for you.

Here is what the organisers have to say (see right for times and venues):

COMEDY SINGLES PARTY

A comedy show with games for single party people! Bring a mate, bag a hot date – it might be fate!

Kirsty Munro will hook you up even if you’ve been ghosted more times than Patrick Swayze.

Bring your wing mate, gal pal or bromance, win prizes and laugh your way into the arms of your one true love.

COMEDY COUPLES PARTY

Join comedy couple Masai Graham and Kirsty Munro as the audience takes sides to determine who wins the arguments in this comedy showdown.

IT’S NOT YOU: ANTI-VALENTINE’S DAY COMEDY SPECIAL

Expect some very dark humour that will take on this all important greetings card created holiday, with material about every aspect of love, relationships, being single and why the headliner Mr Badger is no longer on the TV.

This is a selection of some of the finest comedians on the circuit who know how to straddle the line between edgy material and self depreciation.

Not for the easily offended. Hosted by a mismatched pair of Lu Williams and Tommy Tomski.
