Amazon in £1k boost for charity

-

A CHARITY that helps families following the loss of a child has received a £1,000 donation from the Amazon warehouse in Hinckley.

The donation was made to Freddie’s Wish, which provides in-person and online bereavement support, as well as paediatric first aid training.

Hannah Roberts, an employee at the Amazon in Hinckley, nominated Freddie’s Wish for the donation as part of the online retail giant’s community support policies.

Hannah said: “I’m really pleased that we can support a fantastic charity like Freddie’s Wish.

“The charity has such an important impact on families in our community who are experiencing the unimaginable loss of a child.”

The cash will go towards training parents and carers with skills that could save their child’s life in an emergency.

Charlotte Jolliffe, from Freddie’s Wish, said: “On behalf of everyone at Freddie’s Wish, we would like to thank the Amazon team in Hinckley for this donation.

“Support like this means we can continue to help parents and carers at a difficult time and equip them with the skills needed to perhaps save a child’s life or offer support to those who have suffered a loss.”
