The creature castaways return for a third slice of CGI family fun. Alex the lion (right, Ben Stiller) and the gang are still trying to journey back home to New York, but this time find themselves in a circus travelling around Europe.

Leonardo DiCaprio’s CV is an embarrassm­ent of riches, but this is one of his very best films. In a crime tale based on real events, he plays a charismati­c con artist who scams millions of dollars while posing as an airline pilot, lawyer and doctor. Tom Hanks is the FBI agent on his trail.

There are high-octane echoes of Die Hard here as the president’s plane is hijacked in Wolfgang Petersen’s pacy action thriller. Harrison Ford plays the president, who must protect his wife and daughter from Gary Oldman’s deranged terrorist. Glenn Close co-stars.

Martin Scorsese’s 1991 chiller still retains the power to terrify. Robert De Niro (right) plays a recently released convict determined to wreak revenge on a lawyer (Nick Nolte) and his family .

On a train to London, singleton Nancy (Lake Bell, below) bumps into Jessica (Ophelia Lovibond), who is meeting a blind date under the clock at Waterloo station. The nervous lovebirds will recognise each other by holding self-help book Six Billion People and You. When Nancy discovers Jessica has left her book behind, she gives chase and crosses paths with the blind date, Jack (Simon Pegg), so she decides to pose as Jessica and see where the meeting leads.
