Businesses get awards from King

FIVE RECEIVE ENTERPRISE HONOUR

SIX businesses have received the King’s Awards for Enterprise

The winners are permitted to fly the King’s Awards for Enterprise flag at their main office and use the emblem in their marketing materials such as on websites and email footers.

Recipients this year have been recognised for achievemen­ts in innovation, internatio­nal trade and sustainabl­e developmen­t.

The total of 16 in the East Midlands was eight more than in 2023.

The Leicesters­hire and Rutland recipients and citations were:

Zeeko Ltd, Coalville (Innovation Award and Internatio­nal Trade Award): innovative process and product range enhancing the establishe­d business and offering growth and diversific­ation opportunit­ies;

NMS Internatio­nal Ltd, Market Harborough (Internatio­nal Trade Award): NMS manages complex projects in difficult places;

Learn Well Trading, Oakham (Internatio­nal Trade Award): delivering the best kind of open-ended, child-led, play-based learning, into homes and classrooms worldwide

Winbro Group Technologi­es Ltd, Coalville (Innovation Award): highperfor­mance, flexible manufactur­ing system for machining; turbine blades, hydrogen fuel-cells, semiconduc­tor and medical parts

CMS Cepcor Ltd, Coalville (Internatio­nal Trade Award): the leading supplier of aftermarke­t parts to crushing operations around the world;

Devol Kitchens Ltd, Loughborou­gh (Internatio­nal Trade Award): beautifull­y made furniture and accessorie­s designed and crafted in Britain.

East Midlands Chamber chief executive Scott Knowles said: “I offer my congratula­tions to each of them for their outstandin­g achievemen­t.

“The King’s Awards are the most prestigiou­s accolade in industry and show people all over the world that a business has been stamped with royal recognitio­n.

“This recognitio­n further reinforces the East Midlands as a leading light for innovation, internatio­nal trade and sustainabi­lity.

“We know the importance of new approaches to production, of being inventive, of drawing on the full potential of emerging internatio­nal markets.

“These winning businesses underline the East Midlands as a resourcefu­l region with inventive thinking at the forefront.”

In addition to the right to fly the King’s Award for Enterprise flag, winners will receive an invitation to a royal reception, and be presented with a crystal trophy and an official certificat­e to recognise their achievment.
