The Lomond squad joined club’s from across the west of Scotland for the event, and it was Lomond who kicked off the competition against Clydebank A team.

It was a tough test for the Lomond side, who were unable to stop the Bankies taking advantage of the space and despite their best efforts, they lost out to the impressive looking home side with a final score of 24-5.

This did not phase the team however, who were back in action in the shield final later on in the day against Cartha B.

This match proved to be much more successful for the Loch Lomond side and they started strongly against their opponenets.
