View Stop littering in Graves Society seeking burial place of ex our beautiful burn Celtic player

Lennox Herald - - LENNOX VIEW -

After coming back from a holiday in Benidorm on Saturday, August 8, I was certainly surprised to see it was a good sunny day in the area and the water levels of the local Gruggies Burn were low (despite seeing forecasts on television about rain and gales in Dumbarton while I was in the Spanish resort). to transport the large fly-tipped items to landfill or the tip. I wonder if any of your readers could assist with the following?

The Celtic Graves Society is a supporters’organisation devoted to the locating of and, where appropriate, modestly marking, the last resting places of former players of the Glasgow football club.

The society is currently seeking information on the burial place of early Celt Alex Brady. Apart from Celtic, Brady played for a number of clubs, including Renton, PartickThistle, Sheffield Wednesday and Sunderland.

A resident of Hall Street in Renton, Alex died on October 19, 1913, aged 43, leaving a widow and three children.

The graves society would be extremely grateful for any information on the above.

* Editor’s note: anyone with information should contact the Lennox Herald on 0141 309 3517 or news@ lennoxherald.co.uk.
