Boys’ Brigade wow crowd with great show
More than 50 boys and officers from the 1stVale of Leven Boys’Brigade put on a show for parents and friends at their annual display recently.
During the event, at the Boys’Brigade Hall in Alexandria, they took part in a drill and a calendar photo presentation of the year.
The junior section also marched, took part in a drama about the Prodigal Son and hosted a news quiz.
The Anchor Boys entertained the audience with songs using sign language.
Captain Hugh Hutchinson said that session 2015/2016 was, on the whole, good year for the company, but that fewer Anchor Boys and Company Boys were a concern.
Highlights of the past year included trips to Glencoe, Laser Quest, M&DTheme Park andTen Pin Bowling.
Junior Section finished in a top three position in every Battalion competition, with a first place in the swimming gala and bible knowledge competition.
The Company section boys enjoyed both National and Battalion events.
Three of the Company Section boys are now working for their Queen Badge and Silver Duke of Edinburgh Award.
Four senior boys are now becoming officer cadets (KGVI course) and working for their Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award and two of them have now graduated with their KGVI certificates.
