Internally grateful

Lennox Herald - - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR - Stuart McWilliam, Lomond Court, West Bridgend, Dumbarton

Pictures taken of me internally, In the suite of endoscopy. I approached with fear and in trepidation. Until they sprayed my throat with sedation. A friendly team of nurses, Claire, Dawn, Maggie, Jenny, Lorna Prepared me to receive the camera. Inserted with delicate precision, Proceedure done without incision. Waiting time caused fear and doubt, Embarrassing moment taking my dentures out. My head was north, my feet were south, I felt a bit down in the mouth. I’m thankful for the throat spray coating, Not so much the air injection, Causing a bit of bloating, Thank you nurses for sheer perfection. So thanks to staff one and all, At the Vale of Leven Hospital. Politicians hear me clear and loud, Of my local NHS I am so proud. When it comes to making decisions, Come to your senses. Public and hospitals first, By cutting back on MPs’ expenses. Do a referendum and surprise us.
