A bowling club has become the latest West Dunbartonshire building to get a colourful treatment courtesy of a street artist.

Barry Jenkins — AKA Barry the Cat — is well known throughout the area for his many murals. The Glasgow artist added Dumbarton Bowling Club to his list of work — painting the colourful installation to the wall on their bowling green.

The 42-year-old artist already has a brimming portfolio of artwork across Dumbarton and Alexandria — and his latest creation takes the total to 10.

He says he had never had as much work in one area before, and his efforts have gained the attention from a number of businesses throughout West Dunbartonshire since he first painted The Laughing Fox mural in May this year.

Barry said: “This has never happened to me before. I am normally dotted all over the place.

“I’ve never had this many jobs back to back and in the one place.”
