Fam­ily’s reap­peal over miss­ing man

The fam­ily of miss­ing man Sa­muel Towns­ley have launched a fresh ap­peal a year on from his dis­ap­pear­ance.

The 28-year-old, who stayed in West Dun­bar­ton­shire be­fore he van­ished, was last seen on Union Street in Glas­gow, on October 19 last year. This week, his sis­ter Ann Mar­garet Al­lan made a new ap­peal for in­for­ma­tion, 12 months af­ter he went miss­ing.

Six months ago, she said:“Our whole fam­ily is deeply con­cerned for the safety and well­be­ing of Sa­muel and pray ev­ery day that we will get in­for­ma­tion to let us know he has been traced safe and well.

“Sa­muel if you are out there and fright­ened to come home please just call and let us know that you are OK.We love and miss you very much.”

Sa­muel is de­scribed as white, around 5ft 3ins in height and of stocky build with very short hair.

Sa­muel was known to sleep rough reg­u­larly and has moved around the coun­try, with the po­lice en­quiry tak­ing in­West Dun­bar­ton­shire, Glas­gow, Ren­frew­shire, East Kil­bride, Falkirk, Grange­mouth, and Bon­ny­bridge.
