Man, 68, denies sex offences against kids
A 68-year-old Dumbarton man has denied historic sex offences against two children.
AlexanderWatt, of Alclutha Avenue, is alleged to have assaulted the youngsters, along with a third child, in the 80s.
He appeared in the dock at Paisley Sheriff Court last week to deny the five charges of assault and lewd, indecent and libidinous behaviour in Renfrewshire.
It’s claimedWatt repeatedly kissed a girl aged between four and eight on the body, exposed himself and forced her to touch him.
He is also said to have assaulted the same girl when she was aged between five and 10 by striking her body with his hand as well as using other items to hit her.
Watt also denies a charge of using lewd, indecent libidinous practices against a boy aged between seven and nine.
It’s alleged that he touched the boy and forced the child to touch him. He is also said to have committed a sex act on himself in front of the boy.
It’s alleged he assaulted the same boy when he was aged between six and 11 by striking him with his hand and other items.
He is also accused of assaulting a second boy, aged between six and eight by hitting him on the body and with other items.
All of the alleged offences are said to have taken place in Paisley.
Watt is due to appear back at Paisley Sheriff Court next month.
