Fond farewell Mrs Kelly
A dedicated deputy head teacher has retired after 43 years nurturing generations of children in Alexandria.
Rosamond Kelly held her most recent role for five years and covered St Martin’s and St Mary’s primaries.
She waved goodbye to staff and children and was piped out by former pupils after a special farewell celebration on October 20.
Colleagues say Mrs Kelly, who dedicated herself to serving generations of children, was a supportive and encouraging influence in their lives.
A spokeswoman for the school said: “Mrs Kelly has coupled her outstanding vocational approach with a sensitivity and an awareness of all of our families’ needs.
“We wish to thank Mrs Kelly for dedicating her working life to children in West Dunbartonshire.
“To celebrate her retirement both schools had an assembly to thank Mrs Kelly for her care and support over the years.
“There was also a mass at Our Lady and St Mark’s Church which was attended by families past and present followed by a tea in the school hall.
“At the end of the day Mrs Kelly was piped out by former pupils.”
Thanks for everything The pupils say goodbye to the much loved teacher
