Teenager in­jured af­ter­be­ing hit­by­car

A teenage girl was rushed to hos­pi­tal af­ter be­ing hit by a car in Dum­bar­ton.

The 14-year-old was struck by the ve­hi­cle at around 1.10pm on Fri­day on Vale­view Ter­race in Bellsmyre.

An am­bu­lance at­tended at the scene, and the school­girl was taken to the Queen El­iz­a­beth Hos­pi­tal where she was treated for mi­nor in­juries.

She was later re­leased from hos­pi­tal.

A spokesman from Po­lice Scot­land said: “At around 1.10pm on Novem­ber 10 a 14-year-old girl was struck by a car near to the Premier Inn, Lomondgate.

“She was taken to hos­pi­tal and treated for mi­nor in­juries and there­after re­leased.

“There are no charges at present against the driver.”

A Scot­tish Am­bu­lance Ser­vice spokesper­son said: “We re­ceived a call at 1306 hours on Novem­ber 10 to at­tend a road traf­fic col­li­sion and we dis­patched one am­bu­lance to the scene.

“One young adult was taken to Queen El­iz­a­beth Hos­pi­tal.”
