An Alexandria photographer has won recognition for his portfolio of portrait images.

Gordon Russell, of Angus and Amelia Photography, earned his Licentiateship of the Master Photographers Association (LMPA) after judges were impressed with his high standard panel of work.

To earn the LMPA Gordon had to submit an extensive panel of photographs, which were displayed and judged in front of five highly respected fellows of the industry.

This most recent honour is added to Gordon’s list of accolades which include the amateur category of the Peregrine Photography Trophy, which he earned during his 18 years serving in the Royal Navy.

He decided to follow his passion into civilian life with his own business and photography studio, which led to a highly commended rosette on one of his images during a Master Photographers national competition.
