Lennox Herald - - LENNOX VIEW -

The story in last week’s Lennox about women at a Vale medical practice waiting up to eight weeks for emergency breast cancer referrals shocked and unsettled me.

What is happening to our local health care system?

The way people in this part of the country are being treated (or not, as the case may be) when it comes to healthcare is appalling.

We have lost services, been forced to travel miles, left stuck in ambulances on traffic-logged roads and, if your condition doesn’t fit, denied the right to medical care in your home, surrounded by your friends and family.

We should all be angered by this and we should all use this to fuel the fight to save the Vale. Name and address supplied
