Sweet memories

Lennox Herald - - LENNOX VIEW - Stuart McWilliam, Westbridgend, Dumbarton

It was just another day, Until you passed my way, You came into my eyes view,

I fell in love with you.

I saw you from across the street,

You walked on - we did not meet,

You stole my heart - swept me off my feet, Mars andVenus in collision, I was stunned by you, my lovely vision.

Time elapsed - I saw you no more,

Till you visited my home, entered the door,

When I came home - you were there,

A picture of beauty beyond compare, I escorted you home, My lovely lass so bright and fair.

We stopped and kissed at the door, My love, you I did adore, We courted, engaged, married,

Vowing our love forever more. You my love were supreme, You filled my every dream, We loved we laughed and cried,

I, tears of sorrow when you died.

Now I’m left with memories sweet, Held deep in my heart, Till our reunion day, When once again we shall meet.
