Festive fun at the Xmas lights
I had a fantastic time last weekend with theYour Radio roadshow team, including John Scott and Derek McIntyre, celebrating the start of the Christmas season with thousands of our lovely listeners.
It was the biggest and best crowd ever on Saturday at Clyde Shopping Centre, Clydebank with an amazing line up of performers fromThe Swingcats who perform swing/ jazz, Scot Soul from BBC’s Pitch Battle,The Zig Zag rock and pop choir to George and Peppa.
Thank you to everyone for making it such a special day.
On Sunday we were joined by more than 38,000 people at Loch Lomond Shores.
Hi to wee Aaron and his mum Lisa Hunter.
They were raising money and awareness forThe ROHHAD Association.
Sadly, Aaron suffers from the disease but he was on great form at the gig and was telling me about his new friend Ironman.
Yes, movie star Robert Downey Jnr is now a family friend and calls Aaron from Hollywood and has surprises lined up to help the charity.
As a dad himself, Robert wants to help Aaron’s mum Lisa and the family.
Thanks to Aaron, Santa and my wee boy Jonathan for switching on the lights for 2017.
The atmosphere was electric and police had to actually close the roads to stop more people coming as it was the busiest Christmas ever at the Shores.
Why not pop along for more free festive family fun this Saturday in Alexandria and Sunday in Dumbarton?
The roadshows start each day at 1.30pm with the lights going on around 5.15pm.
The weekend gigs are packed full of local talent including magician Scott Cuthbertson, singers Ally McNelly, Jodie Knight, G-Side,The Logans and Singer Station.
Dance acts from Premier Dance, Centre Stage and even panto from the kids at Dance Off.
It’s set to be another amazing weekend of live local entertainment and festive family fun.
I hope to see you this weekend.

The iconic Helensburgh Clock Tower – which is located in the centre of the town – has been purchased by The Tower Digital Arts Centre, a local charity at the heart of the community.
The Tower Digital Arts Centre – which is a converted church in the heart of Helensburgh – hopes the offering will act as a hub for residents and attract more visitors to the seaside town.
Staff and volunteers at the centre are dedicated to developing the digital and cultural economy of the town and already run a successful cinema and workshops in the area.
