Sons midfielder Tom Walsh says he will remain focussed on Dumbarton as speculation mounts on his future.
The 21-year-old has been Dumbarton’s star man this season with fans hoping he’ll still be at the club come February.
Walsh told the Lennox Herald: “There has been nothing official. Until something official comes in I’ll be concentrating on Dumbarton.”
The former Rangers youth couldn’t help his team get anything out of last weekend’s game with Dunfermline but he remains confident his side can keep their noses ahead of Falkirk in the table with St Mirren visiting the Rock on Saturday.
Walsh scored the only goal of the game when Stevie Aitken’s men stunned the title-favourites in Paisley last November.
He added: “We have to take confidence from that (the 1-0 win) and from the second half today (the 1-0 defeat from Dunfermline). Listen, we will fight for every ball right to the end, try and make it difficult for them and try and get the win.
“It’s a long season and we’d rather be in our position than their position. We’ll keep doing what we’ve been doing. We are in a wee bit of a sticky spell at the moment but I’m sure we will come out of it.”
