THE line-up of street food traders has been announced for a leisure complex which is soon to open in the city centre.

A transformation of the former Argos at St Mark’s Shopping Centre is now complete with STACK Lincoln taking its place, offering live entertainment, street food and bars.

STACK has now revealed the first bunch of food operators coming to the venue, from USA favourites to gourmet French fries. Lincolnshire street food operator The Barbell Burger Co will find a new home at STACK, alongside Oh La La Loaded Fries, which are renowned for their generous potato and halloumi fries covered in a range of toppings.

Specialist pulled pork vendors The Cheesy Pig are also setting up shop at STACK. Owner Sam Smith said that everyone was “really excited to have secured a permanent spot at STACK Lincoln”.

“Having built a loyal fan base in and around our local Lincolnshire area as well as further afield, this opportunity now gives our ‘Cheesy Pig Army’ a place they can get their fix seven days a week, any time of the year.”

Acropolis Street Food, which is a firm favourite at various locations including at STACK Seaburn in Sunderland, will be bringing their selection of Greek specialities, while ZZA will be providing a range of authentic Italian pizzas. Holy Duck, which sells duck wraps and loaded fries, has also confirmed it will be opening up at the venue, alongside YOLO Coffee and Kitchen, which will be open throughout the day serving breakfast, brunch and beverages.

Daniel Bellamy, who founded Barbell Burger Co in 2019, is also delighted to be opening at STACK Lincoln. He said: “This is an exciting new chapter in our journey. Since its inception, Barbell Burger Co has garnered a reputation for its commitment to quality and local ingredients, plus innovative flavour combinations.”

While only a couple of street food outlets remain, there is still an opportunity for anyone interested in being part of STACK Lincoln. The company is looking for high-end providers of food such as Mexican, Asian or fried chicken to complement the existing offer.

Neill Winch, chief exec of STACK, said: “One of the secrets of STACK’s success is to offer an eclectic mix of food operators so there is something for everyone. We feel we’re achieving that at Lincoln with a whole variety of different cuisines, some of whom are from Lincolnshire and want to be part of this exciting adventure.”

Along with the food and drink outlets, STACK Lincoln will have a roof terrace, a coffee shop and a central plaza with a stage for live entertainment.
