Winter wonderland

Longleat has pulled out all the stops for this year’s winter extravaganza. Hoping to spread a little seasonal cheer, the Land of Light event will flood the enchanting estate with an embarrassment of endless light displays. From 7 November until 10 January, colourful projections will light up the house, illuminated fountains will dance in the grounds and the famous mazes will twinkle with mirror balls and fairy lights. Head through a 70-metre long sensory tunnel, then revel in a little Kusama-esque bewilderment in the Long House’s mirror-walled infinity experience. And, of course, there will be a 20ft tree and a Santa train to whisk you away to a winter woodland grotto. longleat.co.uk
