The power of prints
UPDATE HISTORY – AND YOUR DECOR – WITH THE REMIXED HERITAGE PATTERNS FROM NEW BRAND ARCHIVE BY SANDERSON DESIGN
Here at Livingetc we love a heritage print reimagined for a contemporary home. The familiarity of an adored pattern updated to reflect modern sensibilities feels both avant-garde and timeless. So we were excited to learn about new decorating brand Archive by Sanderson Design, from the same company that brings us Sanderson and Morris &Co. The team at Archive by Sanderson Design has sifted through the rich 160-year history of its sister brands to take inspiration for a new collection. A riot of maximalist beauty in modern colours, the designs are everything we want to fill our homes with right now.
The reimagined patterns from Archive by Sanderson Design give new context to historical pieces from the likes of William Morris, John Henry Dearle and Pat Etheridge – and enable you to create something unique within your home. Colourways and scales have been looked at afresh, tweaked to fit how the pattern-confident like to decorate now. There are fabrics, wallpapers, homeware and made-to-measure curtains and blinds that all smash the barriers between vintage and modern by making the icons of interior design relevant to today’s style.
Archive by Sanderson Design’s aim is to unearth new stories out of ideas that have been loved before. So you’ll find painterly patterns coming together in a range of inspirational new tones, and whether you’re hoping to realise an elegant scheme for a large room or planning to fill a smaller space to the brim with pretty blooms, there is a design that will work wonders.
Liberated, spontaneous and alive, Archive by Sanderson Design allows you to discover creations that aren’t rooted in one moment, confined to four walls or influenced by popular opinion. Instead, transcending style, genre and trend, it gives you the opportunity to embrace design and the rich stories behind it .
