Let the light in
Good light is one of the key elements to a successful office, and nothing beats natural light to reduce eye strain. Position your workstation close to a window or skylight, but not in direct sun or you – and your computer – might overheat in the summer. Airflow is important, too, to keep you alert and fresh. This space ‘opens onto the view through a fixed glass panel – a timber side panel open for ventilation,’ says architect John Pardey.
