Broken-plan living is fast becoming the layout trend of the moment, and few spaces benefit from this design as much as a home office. ‘We designed this glazed-walled office to be part of the open-plan living area in order to maximise light and optimise a sense of flow between spaces in the home,’ notes Alex Michaelis, architect and co-founder, Michaelis Boyd. Using a glazed wall will also allow you to keep an eye on comings and goings in the home without being directly disturbed.
