DESIGN INSPIRATION?

There are lots of current designers whose work I like and get ideas from, particularly those who work across architecture, interiors and design – Joseph Dirand, Pierre Yovanovitch , Kelly Wearstler, Vincenzo De Cotiis and Vincent Van Duysen just to name a few – but I also look further back to Lutyens or Gio Ponti.

GO-TO BRAND?

I like so many but I’m going to go with Hay – everything is well made and good value.

FAVE PLACE TO BAG VINTAGE PIECES?

Far and away the place I source the most items is the-saleroom.com, which is a platform for hundreds of auction houses across the UK and beyond.

ANY VINTAGE BARGAINS IN THE COTTAGE?

I suppose we bought the big mohair curved sofa from George Smith pretty well – we managed to buy a pair at auction from a show flat.

BEST LUXE HOLIDAY RENTAL YOU’VE EVER STAYED IN?

This is going to sound like a shameless plug, but we’ve just finished a two-year renovation of a four-bedroom cottage in a nearby village and we stayed there as a family to make sure it all works. It was wonderful!

GREAT LOCAL HANG-OUT?

Has to be Quince and Clover in Great Tew or perhaps The Back Lane Tavern in Woodstock.
