FITBIT CHARGES AHEAD
FITBIT has a tough task on its hands, convincing people who are willing to wear a device on their wrist at all times that the device should be a fitness tracker rather than a smartwatch.
Yet it continues to persevere, and this week released the third iteration of its Charge tracker.
Fitbit says the Charge 3 is its most advanced fitness tracker, and the big headline feature is seven-day battery life (which obviously puts smartwatches to shame).
Besides that, it does the usual stuff – tracks heart-rate, calories burned, and sleep. It can also connect to your phone and deliver lightweight notifications from some apps.
So, it’s a decent alternative to a fully-fledged smartwatch if all you want are the fitness elements.
And the base model costs just £129 (which also puts smartwatches to shame).

LOGITECH MX VERTICAL
I HAVE to say, I did not know that the traditional shape for a computer mouse was not “ergonomic”.
In fact, I didn’t really know what “ergonomic” meant until I looked it up a few seconds ago… But now that I do, “relating to or designed for efficiency and comfort in the working environment” sounds like a perfect description for Logitech’s new MX Vertical mouse.
It’s a bit pricey (£92.99) and looks a bit odd, but Logitech says it has done an awful lot of research into what the ideal mouse should be, and tested it vigorously.
It adds that users will find less wrist-pressure, less tension, less movement, and a more comfortable life.
Worth a try if that RSI is still giving you trouble.
