Rob­bins leads the way as Dun­vant open up in style

DUN­VANT are up and run­ning after the open­ing week­end of the sea­son fol­low­ing a 37-15 win at Hendy.

Mark Rob­bins crossed twice and he was fol­lowed over the white­wash by Richard Lewis, Adam Gre­gory and Mitchell Ford as Dun­vant took max­i­mum points.

Adam Wil­liams-Parry wrapped up the vic­tory with two penal­ties and three con­ver­sions.

Hendy re­sponded with tries from Richard Kin­n­ear and Chris Nazy. The re­main­ing points came from the boot of Rhy­dian Mor­ris.

Gow­er­ton also opened with a bonus-point vic­tory as they saw off Kid­welly 29-17.

Jack Solo­man and Johnny Rees both went over twice, with Gareth John adding a fifth try. Josh Hamer kicked two con­ver­sions.

Kid­welly had Jeven Barnes and Luke Thomas on the score­sheet, with Owen James kick­ing seven points.

Llan­gen­nech ran in five tries in their 31-17 win over Aberys­t­wyth.

Bren­dan Wood scored more than half of Llan­gen­nech’s points with two tries and three con­ver­sions.

The other tries came from Tom Barnes, Matthew Ja­cobs and Rho­dri Davies.

Aberys­t­wyth fought back through Lee Gower and Ar­wel Lloyd tries. St­ef­fan Rees kicked seven points.

Reign­ing cham­pi­ons Felin­foel started with a nervy 10-6 win at Llanelli Wan­der­ers.

Gor­seinon got off to a bad start as they lost 27-20 to Whit­land. Jac Gronow added the con­ver­sions to tries from Alex Popham and Alun Evans be­fore adding two penal­ties.

But 17 points from Nico Se­taro in­spired Whit­land to vic­tory. Gino Se­taro and Mark Jones bagged their other tries.

The other game saw Crymych scrape past Tenby United 20-19.
