Evans grabs hat-trick as Ath­letic send out warn­ing

THERE were points ga­lore in Two West, Car­marthen Ath­letic lead­ing the way as they thrashed Mum­bles 56-19.

Dan Evans crossed for a hat-trick and Karl Wil­liams kicked 11 points through four con­ver­sions and a penalty. Nick Rees added two tries while James New­man, Harry Law, Lee Bradley and Dan Davies also crossed.

Pon­ty­berem saw off Burry Port 38-26. Mike Sauro kicked 18 points for Pon­ty­berem, with Matthew Lloyd cross­ing for a brace of tries.

Wayne Wil­liams and Adrian Wil­liams also went over for Pon­ty­berem.

Burry Port’s Gareth Rees kicked 16 points, which in­cluded the con­ver­sions of tries by Ieuan Roberts and St­eff How­ells.

Loughor edged a thriller with Fish­guard 32-31. Rhys Gear was the star with two tries, two penal­ties and three con­ver­sions.

The re­main­ing points came from tries by Peter Smiriglia and Si­mon Ston­ham.

Pen­clawdd’s bid to re­turn to One West started well with a 29-12 win over Pon­tard­du­lais.

A Danny James dou­ble and fur­ther tries from Ryan James and Kris­tian Cor­bisiero gave Pen­clawdd a bonus point. Tom Guarneri wrapped up the win with three con­ver­sions and a penalty.

Jonathan Lloyd added seven points for Pon­tard­du­lais, with Ross Sender also on the score­sheet.

Ty­croes picked up max­i­mum points with a 29-10 win over Tumble.

Shaun Jones, Mikey Hop­kins, El­gan Grif­fiths and Dar­ryl John grabbed the tries while Lee Evans kicked three con­ver­sions and a penalty.

Steven Rees crossed twice for Tumble.

St Clears suf­fered an open­ing­day 29-20 de­feat to Pem­broke. Owain Davies, Dafydd Wa­ters and Will Davies crossed for St Clears and Dan Grif­fiths kicked five points.
