An­nual photo ex­hi­bi­tion This Satur­day mem­bers of Pon­ty­berem Cam­era Club hold their an­nual pub­lic ex­hi­bi­tion from 10am to 4pm in the Memo­rial Hall. Adult ad­mis­sion at £3 in­cludes tea/cof­fee; un­der 16s free en­try.

There will be tasty cakes, cof­fee and tea with var­i­ous stalls to raise funds for the can­cer sup­port ap­peal. All most wel­come.

World War Ar­mistice Cen­te­nary Ahead of mark­ing 100 years since the end of the First World War in Novem­ber those in Pon­ty­berem who have links to lo­cals who served in the 1914-1918 war can con­tact Keith. Any pho­tos or snip­pets of in­for­ma­tion for ex­hi­bi­tion would be most wel­come. On Re­mem­brance Sun­day, Novem­ber 11, a once in a life­time event will be held in the Memo­rial Hall from 2pm to 4pm pay­ing trib­ute and thanks to lo­cal men, women and chil­dren of 1914 to 1918 who en­dured so much for all fu­ture gen­er­a­tions.
