Support for cadet unit

-

LLANELLI AM Lee Waters gave his support to the newly formed Volunteer Police Cadet Unit this week.

Aimed at 14-18 year olds, the weekly meetings of cadet unit aim to provide young people with opportunities.

“The aims are geared to steer young people away from a life of crime by creating opportunities for them to flourish along the right path in life,” said unit leader PC Vanessa Price.

The new cadet unit is meeting weekly in the Drill Hall, TA Centre at Murray Street, Llanelli.

“It was lovely to meet the first recruits and I hope it thrives. It’s a great opportunity for teenagers to get involved in an activity that as well as being fun will also give them insights into wider society” Mr Waters said.
