Fines for lit­ter louts

MORE than £900 in fines were handed out to lit­ter louts dur­ing Au­gust by Car­marthen­shire County Coun­cil’s en­vi­ron­men­tal en­force­ment of­fi­cers.

These in­cluded a £100 FPN is­sued to a male for fail­ing to clear up af­ter his dog fouled at Llanelli’s North Dock; a £100 FPN is­sued to a res­i­dent of Ralph Street who left blue bags con­tam­i­nated with food, nap­pies and glass in nearby Robin­son Street. The in­di­vid­ual has pre­vi­ously been is­sued a sec­tion 46 en­force­ment no­tice for waste of­fences.

A res­i­dent of Florence Street, Llanelli, also had a £100 FPN for leav­ing blue bags out on black bag week, de­spite pre­vi­ous en­force­ment no­tices and warn­ings. The blue bags were also con­tam­i­nated with food and glass
