Momentum growing as Drovers bag third victory
BEDWAS ........................... 30 LLANDOVERY ................. 52
LLANDOVERY assistant coach Simon Davies believes there is a good feeling growing at Church Bank after their win at Bedwas made it three wins from three in the Premiership.
Jack Maynard and Ricky Guest braces handed the Drovers a bonus point while Matthew Moore, Shaun Miles and Dafydd Land added further tries.
Maynard added all seven conversions and a penalty to add gloss to the scoreline.
Bedwas grabbed a bonus point of their own thanks to Alun Rees, George Gasson, Mike Dacey and Luke Crane. Joseph Scrivens kicked eight points and Jacob Chilcott added a late conversion.
“We’re really pleased to have three wins in a row,” said Davies. “It’s not just the wins, it’s the manner of the performances.
“Traditionally the Drovers have played an open, expansive game and we’ve now focused into getting a bit more speed into our attack.
“We’re not perfect by any stretch but it’s building nicely and we’re a happy camp right now. We were a bit disappointed about the last 10 minutes but if you’d asked us this morning if we’d settle for a bonuspoint win and 50 points then we’d have accepted that.
“Bedwas is a tough place to come to and always has been.”
