Dawe’s brace fires up Foel

FELINFOEL are the outright leaders in One West following a 29-21 win at lowly Aberystwyt­h.

Elliot Dawe led them to victory with a brace of tries and he was joined on the scoresheet by James Wood and Dafydd Daniel.

Aled Roberts kicked the rest of the points as Foel continued their winning start to the season.

Dylan Morgan and Carwyn Evans bagged tries for Aberystwyt­h, while Steffan Rees kicked 11 points.

Gowerton, who started the weekend level on points with Felinfoel, slipped to a 13-6 defeat to Gorseinon – their first defeat of the season.

Paul Spowart kicked all of Gowerton’s point. Neil Wilcox booted eight points for Gorseinon with Dylan Morgan touching down.

It was a feisty encounter with three red cards dished out, one for Gowerton and two for the visitors.

Llangennec­h moved up to third after beating Kidwelly 26-20.

Iestyn Jones, Kris Vaughan and Shaun Edwards all went over for Llangennec­h and 11 points from Steffan Marshall sealed the win.

Andrew Kirkbride and Dan Morris grabbed Kidwelly tries while James Owen kicked 10 points.

Llanelli Wanderers beat Dunvant 22-19 to secure back-to-back victories. Josh Weeds, Jordan Evans and Ryan Tovey all went over for the Wanderers while Rhydian Morgan kicked seven points.

Mitchell Ford and Ben Ley hit back for Dunvant. Richard Lewis added three penalties but that was only enough for a losing bonus point.

Hendy bagged their first win of the season with a 30-17 triumph over Tenby United. Rhydian Morris was the star with two tries, two conversion­s and two penalties.

Phillip Wassell and Keiron James completed the try-scoring.

Whitland beat Crymych 23-21.
