Dawe’s brace fires up Foel

FELIN­FOEL are the out­right lead­ers in One West fol­low­ing a 29-21 win at lowly Aberys­t­wyth.

El­liot Dawe led them to vic­tory with a brace of tries and he was joined on the score­sheet by James Wood and Dafydd Daniel.

Aled Roberts kicked the rest of the points as Foel con­tin­ued their win­ning start to the sea­son.

Dy­lan Mor­gan and Car­wyn Evans bagged tries for Aberys­t­wyth, while St­ef­fan Rees kicked 11 points.

Gow­er­ton, who started the week­end level on points with Felin­foel, slipped to a 13-6 de­feat to Gor­seinon – their first de­feat of the sea­son.

Paul Spowart kicked all of Gow­er­ton’s point. Neil Wil­cox booted eight points for Gor­seinon with Dy­lan Mor­gan touch­ing down.

It was a feisty en­counter with three red cards dished out, one for Gow­er­ton and two for the vis­i­tors.

Llan­gen­nech moved up to third af­ter beat­ing Kid­welly 26-20.

Iestyn Jones, Kris Vaughan and Shaun Ed­wards all went over for Llan­gen­nech and 11 points from St­ef­fan Mar­shall sealed the win.

An­drew Kirk­bride and Dan Mor­ris grabbed Kid­welly tries while James Owen kicked 10 points.

Llanelli Wanderers beat Dun­vant 22-19 to se­cure back-to-back vic­to­ries. Josh Weeds, Jor­dan Evans and Ryan Tovey all went over for the Wanderers while Rhy­dian Mor­gan kicked seven points.

Mitchell Ford and Ben Ley hit back for Dun­vant. Richard Lewis added three penal­ties but that was only enough for a los­ing bonus point.

Hendy bagged their first win of the sea­son with a 30-17 tri­umph over Tenby United. Rhy­dian Mor­ris was the star with two tries, two con­ver­sions and two penal­ties.

Phillip Was­sell and Ke­iron James com­pleted the try-scor­ing.

Whit­land beat Crymych 23-21.
