Booking of next year’s summer holiday confirmed as were the date and venue of this year’s club Christmas dinner. The guest speaker was Anwen Rees, a local girl, who after attending Aberystwyth University went on to join the BBC musical and events broadcasting, firstly as a researcher, assistant producer and now a producer. She praised her strong professional team. A vote of thanks was given by the club chairman, her uncle, Cyrus, and appreciation to Eric Lewis for his technical assistance. The evening concluded with light refreshments. Next month’s speaker is Sharon Griffiths on environmental recycling. Meetings are on the second Tuesday of the month.
