Wild leads the way as Baglan take thrilling win

BAGLAN con­tinue to lead the way in Three West Cen­tral B af­ter an en­ter­tain­ing 33-25 win over Ban­wen.

Chris Wild was the ar­chi­tect with a brace of tries, and he was backed up by Ryan Cromp­ton, Alex Phillpot and Gavin Hooper.

Cromp­ton went on to add five points, with Daniel Blethyn adding a penalty.

At the bot­tom of the ta­ble, Bri­ton Ferry’s poor run of form con­tin­ued as they were ham­mered 71-0 by Glyn­cor­rwg.

It means they re­main with­out a point and stand along­side Cry­nant and Rhi­gos, who were beaten 15-5 by Alltwen.

Cry­nant were beaten 15-3 at Pon­trhy­dyfen, with Josh Hol­land and Mor­gan Ken­ner­ley go­ing over.

Ken­ner­ley added a con­ver­sion and Hol­land landed a penalty.

Christo­pher Mur­phy bagged a try in Cwm­l­lyn­fell’s 13-10 win over Cefn Cribwr.

Peter Thomas wrapped up the win from the tee, while Si­mon Tame re­sponded with a brace of tries.

In other ac­tion, Bryncethin beat Pon­ty­cymer 14-5.

Lead­ers Baglan make the trip to Alltwen on Satur­day.
