Chat show to make county bow

-

A NEW series of S4C’s hit rugby-themed chat show Jonathan is kicking off and the first episode will see presenters scrummaging down at the channel’s new headquarters in Carmarthenshire.

Trimsaran-born rugby legend Jonathan Davies, sports presenter Sarra Elgan Easterby and renowned referee Nigel Owens will be at Canolfan S4C Yr Egin in Carmarthen to give their own ovalshaped view of the world in a series that coincides with the autumn international season.

The series begins on Friday at its usual 9.30pm slot and will offer the perfect taster for the clash between Wales and Scotland which will be live the next day on S4C.

It is the first time that the show Jonathan will be broadcast from Carmarthenshire and the team are looking forward to being at the new media hub.

Jonathan said: “After spending 14 years in Cardiff, it’s an extremely exciting period for us moving to S4C’s new headquarters in Carmarthen.

“You can expect some of the same old items, as well as new ones too, but one thing is for sure, rugby is still at the core of the programme. The three of us are very much looking forward to being the first television series to be filmed at the state-of-the-art media centre.”

This series line-up is full of guests from the celebrity and sporting world who will be ready for a fair bit of leg-pulling, astute questioning and of course the traditional ‘Kicking between the Posts’ challenge.

All will be revealed when the series kicks off. You can join the audience by ordering your free tickets through rhaglenjonathan@avantimedia.tv.

Jonathan is on S4C on Friday at 9.30pm.
