Woman hurt as car was flipped

A WOMAN has been taken to hospital after her car ended up upside down on a rural Carmarthenshire road.

The one-car incident happened shortly before 6.30pm on Thursday night in Port Way in Ferryside, between Carmarthen and Llanelli.

The car had overturned in the road and the driver was the vehicle’s sole occupier.

Police officers and fire service personnel arrived at the scene and the road was closed while the area was made safe.

First aid was given to the driver at the scene and she was later taken to hospital, but her injuries are not thought to be serious.
