Cwm go in search of cup surprise
CWMAMMAN United have a chance to cause a real upset on Saturday when they welcome Welsh Premier League team Aberystwyth Town to Grenig Park.
Confidence is high for the Welsh League division one outfit after they defeated Haverfordwest County 3-2 in their last outing.
Cwm’s home game against Penybont on Saturday was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch, though the players undertook an extra training session ahead of the Aberystwyth game.
A Cwm spokesman said: “The Seasiders will provide formidable opponents and we will show them every respect that they deserve.
“However, this is a cup game and with a little luck and determination then who knows what may happen on the day.”
Aberystwyth are fifth in the Welsh Premier League and drew 1-1 with Carmarthen Town at the weekend.
The game at Grenig Park kicks off at 1.30pm.
