THE family of a “beloved grandfather” who died in an early morning crash on the M4 have paid tribute to him.
Maurice Anthony Hemming, known as Tony, died during the early hours of Friday following a crash on the M4 in Llanedi, Carmarthenshire.
His family have paid tribute to him, saying they are “deeply saddened” by his death.
The family said: “We are deeply saddened by the loss of our beloved husband, father grandfather and son taken suddenly from us. You will always be in our thoughts and our hearts forever and always.”
According to DyfedPowys Police, Mr Hemming, 50, from Cardigan, was driving a blue Vauxhall Vectra eastbound between Pont Abraham and Hendy at around 4.20am when he crashed into a motorway sign.
The eastbound carriageway was closed for several hours to allow for investigation work but reopened around 9am.

It was one of a series of crashes on the roads in South Wales on Friday morning as the region was battered by heavy rain and strong winds.
